The Sandhills in the Santa Cruz Mountains are perfect sponges that store water for local communities. They are also critical for maintaining stream flows in our creeks, and they are home to many rare and endangered species. On this walk we will learn about this special ecosystem and see how important sandhills are for future generations. This tour will be lead by Jen Michelsen of the San Lorenzo Valley Water District. This tour will meet in front of the Zayante Fire House immediately after the 4th Annual San Lorenzo River Symposium.
