Join us for this free family-friendly event celebrating California's state marine reptile! This critically endangered species is the largest of the marine turtles, traveling upwards of 7000 miles across the Pacific Ocean from Indonesia to just off our shores in search of their food - jellyfish!

Join us for an upcoming 25th anniversary speaker series "Sea Below the Surface" that will present the status and trends of key species, habitats, and resources of our sanctuary over the past 25 years. Scott Benson (Marine Ecologist, NOAA’s Southwest Fisheries Science Center and Moss Landing Marine Labs), will present, “The Pacific Leatherback Turtle: Ocean Ambassador with an Uncertain Future.”
