The Santa Cruz Mountains are known for their exceptional wines. The small production vineyards, the passionate, and often present, vintners, and the area’s varying climate give the region a truly unique tasting experience. Santa Cruz County is the perfect destination to raise a glass, but with over 70 wineries and tasting rooms, it may be hard to know where to begin. Take a peek at some fan photos of the Santa Cruz County wine experience and start exploring the beautiful region!

The Corralitos Wine Trail is countryside wine tasting at its finest. Tasting at friendly, family-owned wineries and vineyards is the perfect way to spend a fall afternoon. Alfaro Family Vineyards and Winery and Nicholson Vineyards are gorgeous locales to taste and enjoy with the family and even the pooch! See more pet-friendly wine tasting spots here.

Not much convincing needed for this spot. Enjoy a variety of local wines with ocean views at Vino Prima Wine Bar on the Santa Cruz Wharf.

Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard and MJA are among the almost dozen tasting rooms located on the Westside of Santa Cruz. The urban wine tasting experience is a great way to talk one-on-one with winemakers and the knowledgeable staff  that pour. And a big bonus, lots of great food in walking distance and these two are also pup-friendly.

Old-world charm, gorgeous “wine cave”, mountain views and more. The beautiful 95-acre wine tasting escape at Byington will speak for itself upon arrival. It’s all in the details here and the wine is just as wonderful as the views.
