Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History: Festival of Monsters

The Festival of Monsters is an academic conference on the social and artistic research surrounding monsters.  The festival opens with an evening of free events in front of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History.

  • Friday, October 11 at 5pm: New York Times Bestselling author, Kiersten White reads from her new book, Lucy Undying, and does a Q&A.
  • Friday, October 11 at 7pm: Local company, Circus of the Moon will perform Pluto’s Labryinth
  • Friday, October 11: Horror design company, Trick or Treat Studio will display masks and memorabilia

At the UCSC Oakes College Lower Lawn (with ocean views):

  • Saturday, October 12 at 7pm: Free outdoor screening of the 1922 silent film, Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror
