Join the Trolley Drops Holiday Jug Band as they perform their “Twistmas Carols,” holiday songs they have written by taking “standards” from folk, jazz, pop, and rock genres, keeping the melodies, and rewriting the lyrics with seasonally themed words. For example:
• Credence Clearwater’s “Bad Moon Rising” becomes “Reindeers on the Rise,”
• Ritchie Valens’ “Oh Donna” becomes “Oh Santa,”
• Willy Nelson’s “On the Road Again” becomes “On the Sleigh Again,”
• The Beatles’ “I Just Saw a Face” becomes “I Just Bought a Gift.”
Everyone is invited join in the fun. If you like, dress up in red and green and put on your Santa hats or reindeer antlers because these are holiday parties! The Trolley Drops even bring “Twistmas Carol” song books with them so you can sing along.
