Head to the San Lorenzo Valley Museum to enjoy a reception and guided talk where curator Lisa Robinson will introduce the portraits and talk about the people depicted.
On display for the first time, will be a painted portrait of William Waddell, who came to California in the early 1850s. William was a lumberman and sawmill owner. He is the namesake of Waddell Beach and Waddell Creek in Ranch Del Oso (Bear Ranch) which is now part of Big Basin Redwoods State Park.
The exhibition will also feature portraits of beloved Lily-the-Cat-Lady with works by Barbara Winner, photographic portraits by Fredda C. Carr, drawings by Historical Society founder John Holm, bubble glass portraits, family albums, and more.
