Charles Pasternak, the Artistic Director of Santa Cruz Shakespeare joins the Santa Cruz Symphony for Symphonic Shakespeare. William Shakespeare (1564 – 1616) has inspired many artists, including:
- Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, who composed Romeo & Juliet Overture-Fantasy in 1880
- Felix Mendelssohn, who composed Overture for A Midsummer Night’s Dream in 1842
- Anna Clyne, who composed Sound and Fury in 2019

On Saturday, March 29, they will be performing at the Civic Auditorium at 7:30pm, and on Sunday, March 30, they will be performing at the Henry J. Mello Center at 2:00pm.
