As a preview to the upcoming Black Radio Experience Festival, head to the Quarry Amphitheater to see The Roots, the house band for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and the Tonight Show. The Roots are an American hip-hop group known for their eclectic, jazz-influenced sound and live instrumentation. The Soul Rebels, a Brass band known for their ability to blend traditional brass sounds with elements of funk, soul, hi-hop, jazz and rock will be opening for The Roots. The Soul Rebels will feature a collaboration with Goapele, the highly acclaimed, genre-bending singer-songwriter known for her unique blend of soul, R&B, jazz and pop.
The Quarry Amphitheater was carved from a former limestone quarry in the 1960’s. The unique terraced asymmetrical design allows for amazing sightlines as you groove with towering redwoods all around you. You won’t want to miss seeing The Roots at this venue!
