BEAT is a prominent progressive rock supergroup formed to creatively reinterpret the 1980s music of King Crimson. Rather than a standard tribute act, the project features actual former King Crimson members alongside world-class instrumental virtuosos.
The Quarry Amphitheater was carved from a former limestone quarry in the 1960’s. The unique terraced asymmetrical design allows for amazing sightlines as you rock out with towering redwoods all around you. You won’t want to miss seeing BEAT at this venue!
Locals Love: The unique venue.
First Timers Miss: Bringing a blanket or towel to keep comfortable in a redwood micro-climate.
Insights: The Quarry Amphitheater is inside UCSC, so parking fees and lot usage are unpredictable. There are public e-bike stations on campus and throughout Santa Cruz and Capitola. Watch to see if a rally bus is available for the event.
