Head to Natural Bridges State Beach for the 40th Annual Migration Festival. Many organizations from the community will be there with family-friendly, hands-on activities and booths highlighting the migration of whales, butterflies, birds and the many creatures that travel to and through this fascinating area. There will be a passport with stamps at each table, food for sale, arts and crafts, talks about sharks, whales and more! Live music will be by the Wave Tones with slide Hawaiian player- Patti Maxine , and the park 5M’s Band (Mostly Mediocre Musical Monarch Mariposas), ending with a skit and free cake!
Although this event is free, parking is $10 at state parks. Hold on to that receipt! Once you have paid for parking at one state park, you have paid for them all! There are over 14 state parks and beaches in Santa Cruz County alone!
