June 12 @ 9:00 am10:30 am PDT

New to birding? Well, you don’t have to wing it alone! Join state park docents on this beginners’ bird walk to enjoy exploring our many park habitats, as you listen and look closely at the birds. Learn techniques to help you know who you are seeing, and skills for future adventures viewing birds, whether at home or afar. All birding skill levels welcome! Borrow binoculars or bring your own. They recommend downloading Merlin, a free bird ID app, beforehand too. Weather can vary, so wear layered clothing. You will meet at the Visitor Center at 9:00am.

The event is free but Parking at Natural Bridges State Park is $10 and will be good for parking at all other State Parks for the day. Santa Cruz County has 14 State Parks to explore!
