Deep Roots Dance Festival is a stunning celebration of heritage, innovation, and artistic evolution. Each year, artists of the African Diaspora draw from traditional dance forms to create bold, contemporary works that reflect the depth and beauty of their cultural roots.
This year’s festival features extraordinary artists from Congo, Haiti, the Caribbean, Kenya, and Senegal, along with poetry, visual art, live music, and fashion design by local designer I.B. Bayo. You’ll also get to see Tannery World Dance and Cultural Center’s (TWDCC) Executive Director, Micha Scott, perform, as well as the TWDCC Youth Company. If you’ve never been to a TWDCC performance, this is the one to come to! It promises to be a powerful and inspiring experience.
Performance starts at 7:30 on both Friday and Saturday nights. Click the link in the orange button above to get tickets.
