Affectionately known as “The Med,” has been a cornerstone of the Aptos, CA community since it opened its doors in the late 1960s. Originally a gritty, no-frills dive bar, it became a beloved local watering hole known for its cheap drinks, pool tables, and welcoming, down-to-earth atmosphere. Over the decades, the bar underwent several modest renovations, including a 2021 update that added 6 flat-screen TVs, surround sound, a VIP lounge area and craft cocktail menu—shifting its character slightly while preserving its essential neighborhood charm. Today, the Med balances its dive-bar roots with a more polished, sports-forward vibe, serving a diverse crowd everyday from 8am to 2pm
