Located on the bluffs of Monterey Bay on the west side of beautiful Santa Cruz, California, the Seymour Marine Discovery Center is an ideal event venue for business meetings, conferences, lectures, staff retreats, trainings, annual parties, and luncheons, as well as for social gatherings such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations of life, retirement parties, and more.

There are three facility rental options:

La Feliz Room
With a vaulted, open-beamed ceiling, stunning views of Monterey Bay, and private adjoining deck, the La Feliz Room is a spectacular setting for business events and social gatherings. Rental of this beautiful conference/banquet room includes audio visual equipment, tables and chairs, as well as access to a service kitchen suitable for catered events. Event guests are also welcome to explore the Exhibit Hall during the Seymour Center’s public open hours at no additional fee.

Exhibit Hall
Consisting of three spacious, interconnected ocean-view rooms, the Exhibit Hall is the public space of the Seymour Center and offers an incredible setting for larger social gatherings. The Exhibit Hall showcases ocean research and marine conservation efforts and includes an aquarium that brings guests closer to the creatures of the Monterey Bay. Your rental of the Exhibit Hall includes access to Shipwreck Deck—a private, ocean bluff deck with sweeping views of Monterey Bay—and the option to request volunteer docents at our seawater touch table for a hands-on experience, at no additional charge.

La Feliz Room and Exhibit Hall
The premier experience, this rental consists of the entire public area of the Seymour Marine Discovery Center from the Exhibit Hall to the La Feliz Room (excluding teaching classrooms), with access to both ocean bluff decks, plus all Exhibit Hall and La Feliz Room amenities.
