Evergreen Historical Cemetery

This lush and historic resource is the final resting place for many of the men and women who shaped Santa Cruz since the gold rush. Museum of Art & History (MAH) volunteers and staff have been engaged in a major renovation effort to both preserve the site’s historic resources and create an educational and inspirational memorial to the stories and history of the Santa Cruz area. The site is unusual for a cemetery in its growing interpretive information, new, artistic memorials, and its use for cultural events.
