Summer Art, Wine (and Sometimes Beer) Festivals

Did you know that Santa Cruz County has the fifth-largest population of artists per capita in the United States? The community is brimming with talented artists who make a lively and colorful mark on the county. And when it comes to wine, the Santa Cruz Mountain AVA – one of the oldest wine regions in the country – has more than 70 wineries and 200 growers. Pairing art and wine is a summer favorite in Santa Cruz County and these festivals will give you a unique taste of what the area has to offer. Prefer beer over wine? July 23 – 24, 2022
BARGETTO WINERY: ART AND WINE FESTIVAL
Bargetto Winery has produced hand-crafted wines in the Santa Cruz Mountains since 1933. Join them for their 33rd Annual Art & Wine Festival for wine tastings, live music, food vendors, and art from over 30 local artists. Live music is from 2PM – 4PM. Wine Tasting with Purchase of $20 Festival Glass ($15 for Wine Club Members).

August 20 – 21, 2022
SCOTTS VALLEY: ART, WINE AND BEER FESTIVAL
The Scotts Valley Art, Wine and Beer Festival is a summer favorite! They go above and beyond with over 100 artists, award winning wines and beers, live music and entertainment, a Saturday car show, Dog Day Sunday, food trucks, kid zone, and more! Don’t miss this two day event! There are lots of tasting and drink ticket options – see their site for details and pre sale tickets available until August 19 at 5PM.

August 20, 2022
WATSONVILLE: WINE, BEER, AND ART WALK
The Wine, Beer and Art Walk is a great way for locals and tourists to experience Historic Downtown while enjoying great wine, craft beers, and delicious food and artwork! Early bird tickets are $35 and go up to $40 two weeks before the event. For more information including participating wineries, check the event site.

September 10 – 11, 2022
39TH ANNUAL CAPITOLA ART & WINE FESTIVAL
The Capitola Art & Wine Festival combines art, wine, music, and food, all in charming Capitola Village overlooking the Monterey Bay. The festival features over 100 fine artists, 22 Santa Cruz Mountain wineries, a Local Artisans Marketplace with handmade crafts, live music, and entertainment from local dance and performing arts groups. Fees: Wine tasting (21+) with purchase of 2022 Festival Glass ($20) and tasting tokens ($1). Tastings vary between 2-4 tokens. Saturday 10AM – 6PM; Sunday 10AM – 5PM. *No pets allowed
