Join geologist John Karachewski as he dives into California hydroscapes and discusses groundwater, water resources, and environmental issues, as well as provides tips on how to photograph beautiful landscapes. Explore groundwater springs in Northern CA, wetlands in the Delta, melting glaciers in Yosemite, and winter storms at Anza Borrego. This scenic presentation will also showcase seasonal changes in California’s hydrosphere. John is a geologist for the California Environmental Protection Agency in Berkeley. His work includes geology and environmental projects throughout the Western US from Colorado to Alaska to Midway Island and throughout California.
