Our adobe hosted travelers, party goers, a famous architect, and possibly even a bandido or two between the dawn of statehood and the Loma Prieta earthquake. Please join us as we resume our tradition of evening entertainment at the Castro Adobe. Enjoy refreshments in our restored cocina, take in a tour, enjoy stories, music and dancing in the garden; imagine community gatherings past and future!—as the summer sun sets on the beautiful Pájaro Valley. Castro Adobe is the first non-beach State Historic Park in the Pajaro Valley, the two-story Rancho San Andrés Castro Adobe, built between 1848-49, is one of the finest examples of a rancho hacienda in the Monterey Bay area.
