Overview

On March 29th from 10 AM – 11:15 AM and 11:30 AM – 12:45 PM, join Art by Joan P Bogart to embellish your own canvas tote bag! Take pre-carved rubber blocks in various shapes and learn to ink, stamp and finish your own design for an eco-friendly bag. Joan will be sharing her signature designed blocks with you to make your own version. Her blocks are geometric, fun, and take on the shapes of flowers, leaves, waves, water, sun. Create a repeating pattern or arrange a scene of your own preference – anything goes! You’re welcome to bring another t-shirt, bandana, napkin or other smooth fabric to block print additional pieces after you finish your tote bag (preferably items that are cotton or cotton blend; not nylon or heavy canvas). There will be no carving or cutting in this workshop. Tote bags will need 2-3 days to dry, so you will need to transport your wet tote bags carefully home and then air dry them before washing. Register today, space is limited!
