Cycling for Climate Action! This year the Santa Cruz County Cycling Club brings a new focus to our Mountain Challenge. We’re combining our love of local cycling with the challenge of climbing the highest ‘mountain’ of our time: tackling Climate Change. By donating a portion of the ride’s proceeds, we aim to bring awareness and funds to our event partner, Ecology Action, and their Resilient Central Coast campaign – a project designed to help more people make informed everyday decisions and understand local and broad reaching global concepts that relate to our environment.
This year we offer a “mini Mountain Challenge” of 36 miles, a 50 mile ride, a century and a 125 mile ride.
As always you’ll find friendly volunteers and well stocked rest stops, and now a climate themed festival post ride along with a hearty meal at the conclusion of your ride.
Locally sponsored by Santa Cruz County Bank, Allterra Solar and Talmadge Construction with support from local businesses.
