You can’t have much more fun on a summer morning than this. You have to check it out and it’s a great event for first time triathletes to launch their race career! Olympic Distance Triathlon – swim 1500 meters, ride 40k and run 10k. One of the best Races on the central coast. All of the events will use either a sprint or international (Olympic) distance for any combination of events. This is a very fast paced and spectator friendly race course for all segments with it’s looping format. In addition to all of our regular registration categories the race will play host to the USAT West Paratriathlon Regional Championships. This is one of the best races on the central coast; fun, scenic, and the bike ride is on a totally closed course. There’s something for everyone at Tri Santa Cruz. International (Olympic) distance triathlon and Aquabike, Sprint distance triathlon and Aquabike, Clydesdale and Athena categories and relay teams for both distances. Plus, an Aquathlon with either a sprint (750 m swim/5k run) or Olympic (1500m swim/10k run) distance. There are two Duathlon distances too, both with an initial 5k Run, followed by either the sprint or Olympic distance bike ride, and wrapping up with another 5k Run. Do you want to race in the same wave as your sister, son, daughter, cousin, boyfriend/girlfriend, spouse or friend without having to start in a competitive age group wave? If so then the Family and Friends wave is for you. It’s the sprint race with it’s own wave start. You’ll get all the same race goodies but you won’t be eligible for age group prizes. You won’t want to miss it! Please register online.
