Abbott Square Market Project Debuts in Downtown Santa Cruz

A creative new venue combining artisan food, craft beer and cocktails, live music and entertainment, and family-friendly activities has opened in the heart of Downtown Santa Cruz.  Taking a cue from San Pedro Square, the wildly successful community gathering space in San Jose, Abbott Square Market, supported by the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History and located at Front and Cooper Streets, is designed to be the food and cultural center of the town.  Home to food vendors and a new bar concept called Front & Cooper, Abbott Square hosts a full schedule of entertainment events, including outdoor movies, children’s activities, trivia nights and live music.  Carefully crafted to attract young professionals, families, students, couples, and local residents, the centrally-located hub is alive with vibrant energy emanating from an artisan food court featuring everything from small-batch premium hand-crafted popsicles (Milk and Wood), to Cat.Cloud.Companion, a partnership between Santa Cruz’s Companion Bakeshop and local coffee roaster Cat & Cloud.
