Monterey Bay Sanctuary Exploration Center Debuts New and Enhanced Exhibits

New exhibits and artwork are on display at the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center.  These exhibits feature dynamic new artwork in an existing fisheries display, a new watershed exhibit, enhanced messaging for an underwater sonar mapping display and an engaging interactive presentation about animal migrations and seasons in the sanctuary.  Another new feature of the sanctuary encourages visitors to identify stewardship activities they can become involved in to help protect the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and the environment.  Improvements were also made to the building’s exterior, existing exhibits were enhanced and additional hands-on educational activities for younger children were installed.  The admission-free Sanctuary Exploration Center is at the heart of Santa Cruz’s beach area, near the wharf, beach boardwalk, and scenic West Cliff Drive.
