A new program in 2018 brings agriculture to visitors though hands-on, family-friendly farming experiences. Located in south Santa Cruz County, Live Earth Farm is a 150 acre patchwork of working farm, riparian corridor, oak and redwood forest in the lush agricultural region of Pajaro Valley where visitors are welcome. Live Earth Farm offers educational programs, farm stays, and other programs which sustain healthy food, farming, social and natural systems. On the first Friday of each month from March through October the farm offers activities designed to help children develop their own healthy relationships with nature and food: feeding chickens, petting goats and kids, picking fruits and vegetables, exploring the gardens, singing farm songs, and other activities.
