Cruz Kitchen & Taps sits on the iconic corner of Pacific Ave and Laurel St. South of Laurel (SoLa) is the jewel in the crown of the up and coming “New Santa Cruz.”

Dameon DeWorken, formerly of Drunk Monkeys, has spent the last 22 years learning food and the ins and outs of the restaurant industry. He has mastered layering flavors and calls on ingredients from Asia to aid in his quest to satisfy the hunger of the people.

Mia Thorn, co-owner, is also a practicing Oncology Nurse that feels like it’s her calling to help people really enjoy life. She believes food is major component to help people celebrate big and small moments alike.

Together they honor their hometown by creating a fun atmosphere that gives a space for lots of local art to take place. With Dameon in the kitchen working his culinary magic and Mia making sure service is fantastic they make a great team to serve the local and tourist communities. Lifting up and showcasing what Santa Cruz is all about. A casual vibe with complex flavors and excellent service.
