So put the latte on hold and check out some of our favorite rainy day nature finds that will get you outside and enjoying the season!
Sunrises aren’t always easy to catch. Between work, kids, morning coffee needs, and your desire to sleep, sunup can be a bit of an elusive event. But if you’re looking for a sunrise spot worth the effort, try the Westside of Santa Cruz. Thanks to the dramatic coastline of the Monterey Bay, when on the Westside, it seems as if the sun is rising over the Pacific Ocean…and with the whole, “the sun rises in the east and sets in the west” thing, you’ll likely have your Instagram followers questioning your #SCSunrise hashtag.
October has been a delightful mixed bag of fall weather. Foggy mornings, 80+ degree beach days, notable rainfall…we’ve seen it all. But our recent fiery skies have been dazzling locals and visitors and we can’t help but share this gorgeous shot by @quistwe at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk! Gotta love those red October skies!
