COVID Travel Advisory for Santa Cruz County

For now, travel to Santa Cruz County is not advised. As we shelter-in-place during this unprecedented time in history, the primary concern of Visit Santa Cruz County is for the health, safety, and welfare of our locals, visitors, and fans. We are all gathering strength from one another, and from the memories we have of time spent on beaches, in coastal redwood forests, at boutique wineries, or at seaside amusement park. The warmth and hospitality of our local community will still be here when the shelter-in-place order is lifted and state and local health agencies declare that it is safe to travel once again.

The Santa Cruz County Health Services Agency has extended the shelter-in-place indefinitely.

This directive will help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Many area residents are employing this practice. Local law enforcement agencies are enforcing this directive: shelter-in-place is an order, not a request.

So for now, we’ll just say “See you soon!” In the meantime, you can experience Santa Cruz County on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for ideas and inspiration. Additionally, we’ve gathered lots of virtual ideas, which can help with homeschooling kids, keeping families busy, and overall stress-reduction. Stay well, and we hope to see you soon.
