Pleasure Point 4th of July Parade

Worlds shortest 4th of July Surf Parade! Enjoy the community spirit of Pleasure Point with the “Do it Yourself” motto of this parade! Get in the spirit, get in your 4th of July fashions and decorate your wheels to ride or stroll the parade route. Dress up your kids and pets! Maybe play the Ukulele, Kazoo or whatever you make beautiful noise with and create a band. Meet at 33rd and East Cliff Drive then parade to The Hook. Enjoy the awesome views and picnic along the sea. It’s Independence Day!

Scotts Valley 4th of July and Fireworks

Come celebrate July 4th in Scotts Valley! Parade, flyover, fireworks, outrageous BBQ, two live bands, games, petting zoo, & much more! Advance tickets $6, at the door $8 (4 and under free). Activities and food are not included in price of admission. ATM available onsite.

Roaring Camp: 4th of July Family Fun Events

Bring out the entire family and friends for a fun-filled day of games, live music and an all-American barbecue. See why the west was wild aboard our Redwood Forest Steam Train as you witness shootouts between famed lawmen and notorious outlaws during our Great Train Robbery.

Boulder Creek 4th of July Parade

This classic Fourth of July parade, set in downtown Boulder Creek, attracts upwards of 10,000 attendees each year. If you are a mountain dweller this is one you won’t want to miss.

Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary Firecracker 5K & 10K Race

Since 1985, The Firecracker 10k has been a Santa Cruz Independence Day tradition. Started by the City of Santa Cruz in 1985, the race was taken over by the Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary Club in 2004. That glow you see on the horizon is the 34th Annual Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary Club’s Firecracker Run. There are three distances, something for the whole family – a 10K, a 5K and a 1K for the kids. Registration is open. The only thing missing is you! Race Day Schedule: pre-registered runners check-in, and race day registration from 6:30 – 7:45am (for 1K), 6:30 – 8:00am (5K/10K) Race day registration runners pick up Bib Numbers at Registration on July 4th. Kids’ 1K run at 8:00am, 10K starts at 8:30am and 5K starts at 8:40am

Spirit of Watsonville 4th of July Parade

New time! The 2016 Spirit of Watsonville hometown parade hits Main Street at 12pm. Expect floats, classic and muscle cars, antique tractors and equipment, and equestrians. Get there early to reserve your front row seat!

Wilder Ranch Old-Fashioned Independence Day

Visit Wilder Ranch’s historic cultural preserve and take a step in time 100 years ago as you participate in an early 1900s-style Independence Day celebration, including a family parade at noon, games, children’s crafts area, live big-band music, living history demonstrations, historic speeches, and flag-raising. Food and drink available for sale, or bring a picnic lunch. Day-use parking fee is $10.

Big Basin Fourth of July Weekend Talent Show: Saturday, July 6th

Come and celebrate Independence Day with a campfire, sing-a-long and talent show! If you have a skit, poem, song or a talent you would like to share, sign up at headquarters in advance. All presentations should be appropriate for all ages. Acts should be only 3 to 5 minutes in length. Participants need to arrive promptly at 7:00pm at the historic campfire center. Fire lighting and marshmallows (we provide the sticks and marshmallows!) at 7:00pm. Event made possible by Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks and California State Parks.
