This Was #MyWeekendInSantaCruz

This weekend marked the officially, unofficial 'we're only wearing flip flops on Saturdays and Sundays, I only eat al fresco at restaurants' time of year in Santa Cruz County. The weather was perfect, the sun now feels like it's shining longer upon us, and everyone around town had that relaxed summertime feeling. Check out some of the best weekend views with this edition of #MyWeekendInSantaCruz.

There has been quite a buzz surrounding the pop-up sandbar near Cowell Beach. The shallow, calm waters make it ideal for a family beach day. And if you follow us on any of our social channels, you'll notice we've been swooning over the aerial shots of this seasonal surprise!

Fall Creek, an additional unit of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, is enchanting right now! This is a photo I took over the weekend from the TWO trips I took in two days! It's that good, folks! The rivers are flowing and the forest is as green as ever!

Walk, run, bike, blade, skate, anything. Whatever you do get to West Cliff Drive when the weather is this nice. This Santa Cruz native, turned San Franciscan, came for a quick weekend getaway and he turned to O'Neill Surf Shop for a new cruising board. We hear it works well on the streets of SF too.

She said it, suns out (cheeseburger) buns out. Patio dining was in full swing at The Cremer House in Felton this weekend.

Warmer temps and a bit of wind made for great windsurfing conditions at Waddell Beach.

Runners, hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers are stoked right now. The forests are looking beautiful and the trails are in great condition - although you might still need to duck and dodge a few fallen trees and branches. But when you’ve got a tribe like this, who cares!

Everyone loves some time under the redwoods, and that definitely includes the dog! Nisene Marks in Aptos has a great dog-friendly fire road trail that everyone is sure to enjoy.

The wide angle sunset at Sunset State Beach in Watsonville was a good one.

This sunny and 70s weather calls for some blanket in the grass, rosé drinking afternoons. Beauregard Vineyards nailed their weekend mood with this picturesque Sunday.
