1440 MULTIVERSITY MAKES EVERY MINUTE COUNT THROUGH LECTURES, SPEAKER SERIES
A new conference center in Scotts Valley, six miles from Santa Cruz has opened its doors amidst a forested backdrop. Offering immersion learning programs with a diverse faculty and year-around curriculum, 1440 Multiversity – named for the number of minutes in one day – focuses on quiet reflection, classes, lectures, guest speakers, retreats, and healthy food served in a nourishing environment: all wrapped up in conference setting. An onsite Healing Arts Center features massage, a steam room, guided relaxation exercises, an infinity tub overlooking the redwoods, craniosacral therapy, shiatsu, herbal-steamed compresses and other treatments. Homemade meals are served at The Kitchen Table, where three seasonal, well-rounded meals are served communally every day and enjoyed in silence and quiet reflection. Guests can dine cozily by the fireplace or al fresco, overlooking a forest canopy and gently running creek. The Teaching Kitchen at 1440 is a professionally-designed kitchen classroom that features a demonstration area and multiple working stations where cooking, nutrition, and gardening classes are held.
