Join us for the Boardwalk's 5th Annual Chili Cook-Off! Bring your appetite and join the fun as both professional and amateur chefs work their culinary magic and compete for the title of Best Chili! Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk admission is free! Purchase tasting kits and enjoy some fun in the sun while you sample chili from dozens of competitors.

Celebrate the season at Big Basin Redwoods State Park! Join us on a 1-hour, 1/2-mile, silly and slightly haunting night hike through the deep, dark forest and hear the haunted tale of Big Basin's last lumber mill owner and his disastrous encounter with a grizzly bear! All participants must register at Park Headquarters for a tour. While waiting for groups to depart, enjoy Big Basin's hospitality in the Sempevirens Room. Registration will start at 6:30 pm.
