Santa Cruz County Welcomes Revamped Hotel Properties, Meeting Spaces, New Brand Affiliations, and New Properties in 2016!

Back Nine Grill & Bar at Inn at Pasatiempo

Back Nine Bar & Grill, located at Inn at Pasatiempo in Santa Cruz, has renovated and reopened their meeting and banquet facilities. The new space reflects the rustic yet sophisticated design of the updated lobby and popular restaurant, which debuted last year. The banquet space renovation brings tech ready, flexible configurations, natural light, and is conveniently located just off of Highway 17. Inn at Pasatiempo offers 54 overnight guestrooms on site, with plans to update the accommodations over time.

Chaminade Resort & Spa

Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz has undergone a comprehensive $7.9 million renovation that began in November 2015. The property’s 156 guestrooms and corridors, contained in eleven villas/wings, have been revamped with a fresh, new look and feel. Inspired by the vintage technology, craftsmanship, and history of the Bay Area, Chaminade’s new eclectic, bohemian style culminates in a modern day escape from the frenetic pace of the world’s most innovative cities. Hilton Santa Cruz-Scotts Valley

The meticulously maintained, fifteen year old Hilton Santa Cruz-Scotts Valley, has undergone extensive renovations. With its castle-like stonework on the exterior,  the interior now offers 174 guestrooms and suites with an updated contemporary design. By converting three breakout spaces into additional lodging, they’ve increased their room count to 178. The fresh, sleek style has also been incorporated into the overhauls of the wine country inspired Stonehouse Bar & Grill, the lounge with communal tables, and all new public spaces. The guest check-in experience is enhanced with conversational check-in pods and a marketplace.

Seascape Beach Resort

Seascape Beach Resort in Aptos is undergoing a multi-phase renovation process. Currently, the project will encompass upgrades to the property’s 285 two bedroom villas, one bedroom studios, and suites bringing a natural, clean look to the decor. These improvements will enhance the beachy yet sophisticated feel the resort is known for. The guestrooms will receive kitchen and bathroom remodels with new cabinets, appliances, and lighting. Bathrooms will get new shower and tub enclosures, vanities, mirrors, fixtures, and paint. The living and dining room renovations will include new furnishings and artwork. The conference spaces, lobby and restaurant completed renovations in 2015.

Hotel Paradox

The newly renovated Hotel Paradox in Santa Cruz has joined Autograph Collection Hotels, Marriott International’s distinctive portfolio of independent properties. The brand celebrates hotels that embrace their locale through refined design, thoughtful amenities and stand-out service, offering one-of-a-kind guest experiences. With its urban forest design inspired by the nature, mountains, and redwoods surrounding Santa Cruz, Hotel Paradox does just that. The property recently underwent a renovation resulting in an updated arrival experience, more-open floor plan in its Solaire Restaurant + Bar, new guestroom furniture, additional fire pits and updated cabanas surrounding its pool.

New Properties in 2016
