Santa Cruz presents the "Secret Summer" with a great line-up of Fall Festivals!

Although barbecue grills and bathing suits will be stashed away until next season, summer continues for visitors in-the-know.  Featuring fewer crowds and some of the year’s best weather, the autumn months are hailed as Santa Cruz County’s “Secret Summer.”  This fall, the Santa Cruz County Conference & Visitors Council (CVC) encourages you to take a peek at some of the fall festivals that are lined up this season. Wrangle up some good country fun with an outing to the Santa Cruz County Fair!  Six days of safe, fun and affordable festivities, (including a large carnival!) awaits you in Watsonville September 13-18. Fly down to the southern tip of Santa Cruz County to the heart of the Monterey Bay - Home to Watsonville's annual Monterey Bay Birding Festival.  Visitors can see over 200 species of fowl friends in one of the most picturesque areas of California.  The event happens September 22-25, starting at 6:30 a.m.  For more info visit www.montereybaybirding.org. In October, meet local artists, see processes and purchase art! All a part of Santa Cruz County Open Studios Art Tour, an annual three-weekend event featuring some of the county's best artists in the comfort of their own home.
