Event: Big Basin Hike - A Dog-Friendly Walk

DSC07232

Santa Cruz County has it all for dogs - beaches to dig, surf to swim, tree-lined trails to sniff. We've even got breweries and wineries who welcome 4-legged friends! Check out this week's hot dog pick event - a Big Basin hike with your pooch!

WHERE:
Big Basin Redwoods State Park
Park Headquarters

WHEN:
Sunday, September 27 at 9:30am

WHAT:
On this dog, stroller and wheelchair friendly walk, travel on North Escape Road, a paved road closed to traffic. Tour stunning old-growth redwood groves along beautiful Opal Creek. Docent will discuss redwood ecology and park history while exploring the deep shade of the redwood forest. This is a fun, easy, 3 mile, 2 hour round trip walk with a Big Basin Docent. Dogs not required, but welcome! Bring water and meet at Park Headquarters.
