Whales of the Week!

There's something pretty spectacular about being able to watch whales from your beach chair. Take it from me, last weekend's cloudy beach day at Santa Maria's was nothing short of amazing as the giants lunged and breached less than 100 feet from the water's edge. We left (after 3 straight hours of offshore entertainment) and I kicked myself for not having a charged phone or my good camera. Lucky for me - and you - everyone and their brother is catching a glimpse of these magnificent creatures and they are taking some pretty awesome pictures and videos. Enjoy some of our favorite recent whale moments from our fans!

Viewing Tips: Some of recent hot spots for onshore whale watching have been West Cliff Drive - specifically Mitchell's Cove Beach - and Santa Maria's Beach (near 19th to 22nd). If you can't spot the whales from the sand, consider booking a Whale Watching excursion where you can get up close and personal with the giants themselves. Have fun, enjoy the view and remember to keep a respectful and safe distance from the creatures in the bay!
