Fan Photo of the Week

If you haven't been to Big Basin, now is as good a time as any - and the bonus - the waterfalls are flowing! Just look at this week's Fan Photo taken by Instagrammer, @alicehesf, on a recent visit to the big trees at Big Basin Redwoods State Park in the gorgeous San Lorenzo Valley. Photo by @alicehesf at Big Basin Photo by @alicehesf at Big Basin More information on Big Basin: Big Basin is California's oldest State Park, established in 1902. Home to the largest continuous stand of Ancient Coast Redwoods south of San Francisco, the park consists of Old Growth and recovering Redwood Forest. Elevations in the park vary from sea level to over 2,000 feet. The park has over 80 miles of trails. The popular Skyline to the Sea Trail threads its way through the park along Waddell Creek to the beach. The park also has a surprising number of waterfalls, a wide variety of environments, many animals and lots of bird life.
